You feel pants if you don’t get a good night sleep. Broken sleep makes you feel more tired the next day and you have to try and function on a few hours of sleep. If you are more tired than normal, it is a good idea to visit the doctor. You could be lacking in iron or could even be pregnant.
Sometimes you just cannot sleep because you have so much going on in your head, and the worst time to sort these things out is in the middle of the night because you cannot do anything about it. Today we wanted to share some tips and ideas about ways to help you get a good night sleep and feel refreshed in the morning.

Get A Good Mattress
If you are not getting enough sleep because of your mattress, then it is time to get a new one. Having a saggy mattress or one with springs poking out and lumpy, will make you ache. You won’t get a good night sleep. Change your mattress and watch your sleep pattern change. Always go for a good quality mattress and sometimes it is worth paying extra for a better quality one.
Drink More Water Throughout The Day
If you don’t drink, you will become dehydrated and exhausted throughout the day. This leads you to nap through the daytime and then you cannot sleep at night. Drinking more water in the day will make you feel so much more energetic to do things in the daytime. It will also be so much better for your skin!
Exercise Throughout The Day
When you exercise, it makes you feel better as well as helping you get a good night sleep. You always feel tired when you have gone for a long walk or a run. Going for a trek in the daytime or an hour at the gym. It doesn’t matter how you exercise, even walking instead of getting a bus will help you sleep more at night.
Switch The Tech Off
This is probably one of the worse things about keeping your brain stimulated before bed. The light makes you wake up more when you are supposed to be sleeping. Even kids that take a phone or kindle to bed, struggle to sleep. Swap to audiobooks instead, you can listen to them as you close your eyes and doze off. We all know that we have to check Facebook about 20 times before we close our eyes. If you do need to do this, then put the yellow screen on your phone. This turns the light yellow and helps to get you to sleep.
Turn The Clock Away
There is nothing worse than laying in bed and looking at the clock, watching the minutes tick by as you can’t sleep. Turn the clock away from you so you cannot count down the hours and minutes until you have to get up. Clocks also sometimes have lights that will keep you awake at night.
Use Lavender
Lavender has been something that helps you relax and sleep for many years. You can add it to your bath in a bubble bath or just put some drops on your pillow at night. Avon sells an awesome lavender sleep spray as well as body lotion that you can rub in before you sleep. Give it a try because Lavender really works.
Avoid Alcohol
Although alcohol will help you to sleep, you will get a really bad nights sleep. You will dream weird things and wake up extra early in the morning. There is nothing wrong with a glass of wine or two, but any more will disrupt your sleep.
Hot Drinks
When I suggest hot drinks, I don’t mean coffee or tea. You do not need caffeine, it will keep you awake. But hot chocolate or chamomile tea will help you. Drink it about half an hour before you go to sleep, then relax.
