5 things to consider when you want to move house

Utilities in the new home

Does your new home cost more to heat? Does it have a water meter? What is the council tax band in the area you are considering? All these things need factoring in to decide if you are looking to move house.

Both schools and doctors generally have catchment areas so you need to think about which school or doctor’s surgery you will need to register with and if it can meet your needs. This is especially important if you are at the time of your child’s life when they are about to change schools and could rule them out of certain schools if you move out of the area.

The stress and choosing new furniture

Moving house is one of the most stressful times of our lives. Can you cope with this? If you are not sure if you can then maybe a house move isn’t right for you right now?
